Communications Pro Morentin Joins Warner Bros.
Corporate communications veteran Liz Morentin has been appointed Executive Vice President of Communications and Media for Warner Bros. Records, overseeing all communications and media efforts for WBR’s roster of artists and corporate initiatives. Morentin will be based in the company’s Burbank headquarters and report to Peter Gray, Executive Vice President of Warner Bros. Records. Cameron Strang, Chairman & CEO of Warner Bros. Records said, “Liz brings with her a wealth of cutting-edge publicity expertise from a variety of entertainment companies including music, live entertainment, television and digital which are vital elements in modern artist development. Her vast experience will serve her well as she leads our PR team into the future, broadening the scope of our media and artist opportunities.”
Morentin (left) was most recently SVP of Communications and Marketing for dick clark productions, where she led communications for such hit shows as the Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Miss America, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, So You Think You Can Dance, and others. Prior to that, Morentin spent five years as VP of Communications for Live Nation’s North American Concert division. She began her career at Scoop Marketing in 1991 and held communications posts at Epic, Rhino, Elektra and A&M Records from 1991 through 1999. She later served as VP of Marketing Communications for Atomic Pop and was VP of Media Relations at Arista Records from 2000-2004 and J Records/RCA from 2004-2008.
