Def Jam SVP/Urban Nimene Expands Portfolio
• Def Jam Recordings’ Senior Vice President of Urban Promotion Natina Nimene has added Artist Relations to her portfolio, managing talent opportunities across a broad spectrum of media, including radio, podcasts, community and philanthropic endeavors, and networks like BET, MTV, Revolt and Fuse. In her newly expanded role, Nimene will act as a liaison for core Def Jam artists like Teyana Taylor, YG, Big Sean, Jeezy,2 Chainz and others.

Natina Nimene has been an influential figure in hip-hop culture for almost 15 years and has been a cornerstone of the Urban promotion department at Def Jam for the past eight years. A Billboard Women In Music and 40 Under 40 Honoree, and recognized by her industry peers as a Culture Creators Honoree and a Hits “Noisemaker,” Nimene was recently named to the advisory board of the National Museum of African American Music, and is a key member of UMG’s Task Force for Meaningful Change.
