Dennis Reese Exiting RCA Nashville
• RAMP has learned that Dennis Reese will be leaving RCA Nashville after a seven-year run, effective April 1, as his position as SVP of Promotion has been eliminated.
In a statement, Reese said, “Seven years ago, I left the pop music world and took a chance by coming to Nashville to support Country music. In that time, I’ve met so many incredible people, and I’m so proud of what our RCA team has accomplished. We’ve promoted 24 No. 1 songs, including 11 from Kane Brown, Nate Smith‘s recent record-tying 10-week No. 1 ‘World On Fire,’ and No. 1s from Chris Young, Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion, Corey Kent and Niko Moon.”
Reese added, “Thank you to Country radio programmers, Sony Music Nashville and all the artist managers for opening the doors and allowing me to be a part of this special world called ‘Country Music.’ Most of all, thank you to the artists. The trust you gave me with your music means everything. I hope you always felt my heart, soul, and passion for your art.”
Reese made the major career — and life — move to RCA Nashville in April 2017 after a year as SVP of Promotion for Epic Records. He previously spent 11 years with Capitol Music Group, rising to SVP of Promotion. Earlier in his music industry career Reese served as SVP of Promotion of Elektra Records from 2000-2004, and his Pop promotion path began at Columbia Records in 1993. Like many in our industry, Reese got his start on the radio side and worked in Miami, Orlando, and Charlotte. Looking ahead, Reese can be contacted at 917-705-9840 or dennisreesehumbert@gmail.com.
