Dennis Reese Returns To SMN As SVP/Promotion

Dennis Reese has returned to Sony Music Nashville (SMN) as Senior Vice President, Radio Marketing & Promotion, effective Friday, Feb. 14. Reese will oversee the development and execution of the strategic radio promotional plans for both the RCA Nashville and Columbia Nashville imprints, reporting to Chair & CEO, Taylor Lindsey and President & COO Ken Robold.

Reese has spent the last year at Neon Coast in support of the firm’s roster, which includes Kane Brown, Restless Road, Nightly, Dylan Schneider and Kat Luna. Before that he spent seven years as SVP of Promotion for RCA Nashville, securing 24 No. 1 records.

Reese made the major career move to RCA Nashville in April 2017 after a year as SVP of Promotion for Epic Records. He previously spent 11 years with Capitol Music Group, rising to SVP of Promotion. Earlier in his career Reese served as SVP of Promotion of Elektra Records, and his Pop promotion path began at Columbia Records in 1993. Like many in our industry, Reese got his start on the radio side and worked in Miami, Orlando, and Charlotte.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Dennis to the company,” said Lindsey. “His experience at both the Country and Pop formats, excellent leadership skills and dedication to the artists he’s worked is unmatched and we are fortunate enough to have him this time at the helm of our promotion team. SMN remains committed to promoting our artists at radio, and we know Dennis will continue to bring the No. 1s and advocate for our artists every day.” [Photo Courtesy of Dennis Reese]
