Driving Mr. Govatsos

We are absolutely elated to report that New England promo legend Andrew Govatsos of The Artist Cooperative has made his triumphant return to the upright and locked position and is now back tearing up the Boston radio circuit! We recently told you that Andrew underwent open-heart surgery seven weeks ago to replace the failed heart valve he had received six years ago. The surgery went well, but Andrew has been dealing with several minor post-op issues during his rehabilitation. However, thanks to the help of the best doctors anywhere in the world, Andrew has fought his way back, and is now back doing what he was born to do — getting great music played!

While Andrew continues to improve every day, he would like to extend his most sincere thanks to his many friends for the all the love, prayers and good wishes. One of those friends (and fellow New England promo icon) Paul Barrette has graciously offered to play chauffeur and has been driving his buddy around to all of your favorite Boston-area radio stations, like CBS Radio’s WBMX (Mix 104.1), where they formed an adorable love sandwich with APD/MD Mike Mullaney (center).
