Feel Better, Skip!

• We want to take a moment to send our best wishes to Nashville-based promo legend Skip Bishop, CEO of Studio2Bee Entertainment, who underwent open-heart surgery on Tuesday, Sept. 18 to correct a valve issue. In this extremely graphic and technical explanation, Skip told RAMP, “Yes, my aortic value took a dive and gave its surprise two-week notice. It was replaced by a weekender.” And there you have it.

Despite the fact that the surgeons had to open him up twice(!), Skip was deemed well enough that he was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. He is now home recovering, and, as you would expect, his grace and good humor remain intact.

We asked Skip if he was feeling up to reading a bunch of love-filled emails from random admirers who read RAMP. He immediately replied, “Who the f*#k doesn’t love well-wishers… that’s like asking Butch if it’s ok to send him butter beans and fried chicken!”
