Gaga, JLo Join Biden Inauguration
• Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez have been invited to perform during the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris next Wednesday, Jan. 20. Gaga will sing the National Anthem, and JLo will perform a song TBA. That’s the word from the Biden-Harris Inaugural Committee, which also announced the swearing-in ceremony will include the Invocation from Father Leo J. O’Donovan, the Pledge of Allegiance recited by Andrea Hall, President of the International Association of Firefighters Local 3920, the National Anthem by Gaga, a poetry reading by the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, a performance from Jennifer Lopez and a closing Benediction from Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman.
In a tweet, Gaga said, “I am deeply honored to be joining @BidenInaugural on January 20 to sing the National Anthem and celebrate the historic inauguration of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris!”
As we reported yesterday, next Wednesday’s inaugural festivities will culminate in primetime special hosted by Tom Hanks and featuring performances from Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant Clemons. The 90-minute Celebrating America special will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC on Wednesday, January 20 from 8:30-10pm ET/PT. It will also be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Bing, NewsNOW from Fox and AT&T DirectTV and U-verse.
