Gator Hangs Out The Shingle
• Veteran music industry executive Gator Michaels announced his departure as President of Reviver Entertainment and the launch Gator Michaels Consulting, which is focused on helping to develop independent artists and labels.
Michaels commented, “I’m excited to offer my 30 years of experience in the music business, to help developing acts and labels to succeed in this ever changing landscape. I’m also thrilled to announce that my first client is 19TH and Grand Records. This will continue the relationship that I have developed with Tenille Arts over the last two years and I look forward to helping Tenille become the superstar that she is destined to be. Her current single, ‘Somebody Like That’ continues to climb the charts at Country radio, and we are just getting started!”
Michaels’ long music industry career started with a decade in radio, before he transitioned to the promotion side — he served as GM for Young-Olsen & Associates, VP of Promotion at Dreamcatcher Entertainment, SVP at Warner Bros. Nashville, EVP/GM at Davis Music Group and VP of Promotion at Blaster Records before joining Reviver in 2015 as SVP of Promotion. He rose to EVP/GM a year later and was named label President in January 2019.
