Greg Williams Honored
• The RAMP family salutes the talented Greg “The Hitman” Williams, longtime PD and morning co-host at Entercom Rhythmic KDGS (Power 95.3)/Wichita, KS, who was inducted into the Kansas African American Museum (TKAAM) Hall of Fame on Saturday evening. Williams, a native Wichitan, was the recipient of the Broadcast/Journalism Trailblazer award. Trailblazer honorees are leaders, pacesetters and pioneers who have made a significant impact in their respective professions and who have contributed to their community and have made a positive impact, and no one could argue that Williams wasn’t completely deserving of such a prestigious honor.
Williams is a 40-year radio veteran who has spent the majority of his career in his hometown, with the exception of a brief stint at KCBQ/San Diego. He joined Power 93.5 as PD in 2000, preceded by local stints at KEYN, KKRD and KLEO-AM/Wichita.
Making the event even more special, a bunch of Williams’ record label friends/fans made the trip to Wichita to personally witness his induction.
