Houston Joins River House As VP/Promotion
• Veteran Country programmer Lance Houston has joined River House Artists as VP of Promotion and Artist Development. In his new position Houston use his years of experience to lead River House’s expanding artist development roster to find effective ways to maximize an artist in every market.
“It’s an extremely exciting time for River House Artists!” exclaimed Lynn Oliver-Cline, Founder of River House Artists. “[VP/GM] Zebb [Luster] and I are honored to have Lance join our team. His reputation precedes him as an absolute tastemaker and his talents are going to be invaluable to our established and developing artists. I have admired Lance for years and we are thrilled to be working with him.”
Houston most recently programmed iHeartMedia Country WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston (his second stint with the station) and worked with the National Programming Group until June. His previous programming stops include former iHeart Country WEBG (Big 95.5)/Chicago, WPOC/Baltimore, WBAM/Montgomery, AL and WYGC/Gainesville, FL. He also spent six years as APD/afternoon personality at iHeartMedia’s WUBL (94.9 The Bull)/Atlanta and he began his Country radio career in 1995 at Clear Channel’s WTXT in his hometown of Tuscaloosa, AL.
“I feel like Nashville has been quietly calling me over the past few years, and as soon as I had the opportunity to go work for Lynn & Zebb, there was no holding me back,” said Houston. “I’m super fortunate that I get to continue to be a part of the Country music industry — plus learn a whole other side of the business after a really terrific run in radio!”
• Founded in 2016 by industry veteran Oliver-Cline, River House boasts a roster consisting of superstar act Luke Combs, Jameson Rodgers, Billy Strings, Ray Fulcher and Drew Parker, as well as newcomers Georgia Webster, Austin Snell, Zach Seabaugh, Kasey Tyndall, Grant Gilbert and more.
