Meet Your New Grammy Nominees!
• Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Brandi Carlile and mega-producer Boi-1Da head the Class of 2019 for Grammy nominations — Lamar leads with 8, Drake has 7, and Carlile and Boi-1Da have six each. Lamar, Drake and Carlile also landed nominations in three of the four major categories — Album, Song and Record of the Year. Garnering five nominations each are Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Maren Morris, H.E.R., producer Sounwave and mastering engineer Mike Bozzi.
Grammy® winner Alessia Cara, Apple Music host Zane Lowe, singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes, and current Grammy nominee Janelle Monáe woke up early this morning (as did we) to kick off the 61st Grammy Awards® nominations by revealing nominees in select categories live on CBS This Morning and on Apple Music at 8:30am ET. Here now are the nominees in the “Big Four” categories, newly expanded this year from five nominees to eight:
