Nappi’s Snappy Upgrade
Promo pro Tommy Nappi is now sporting some bold new stripes indicating that he has been upgraded to SVP of Promotion at RRP/Atlantic Records. In making the official announcement, John Boulos, EVP of Promotion RRP/Atlantic Records said, “I’m thrilled to have Tommy receive this much deserved promotion. He is one of the most well-rounded, insightful promotion executives in the business. As our business continues to evolve, so does Tommy as a leader in the vision of our future.”
Nappi joined RRP in May of 2013, transitioning from Warner Bros. Records where he was VP of Top 40/Rhythm Promotion. During his lengthy record industry career, Nappi previously headed up Top 40 Promotion at both Epic Records and Universal Motown, and he also co-ran the Promotion Department at Maverick Records for six years.
Commenting on his newly expanded role, Nappi said, “I am fortunate to work for the amazing historic company of Atlantic Records. Thanks to John Boulos, Mike Easterlin, Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman for this promotion. Special thanks to my mentor John Boulos for ALL your guidance. We as promotion people are only as good as our music and the people we work with. I’m grateful for the amazing roster of artists we have, and for the great team I get to work with each day.” Your lovingly warm and sincere notes of congratulations can be directed to Mr. Nappi at tommy.nappi@atlanticrecords.com.
