Paddy Rascona Joining Arista Records

• The official quote-filled announcement is coming by March, but we want to take a moment ahead of time and send out our most sincere best wishes to one of the best guys in our business — promo icon (and fisherman extraordinaire) Paddy Rascona, who will soon be reunited for the third time with EVP of Promotion John Boulos at the recently relaunched Arista Records. As Boulos remarked in an email exchange, “After entertaining a few other offers, I am happy to tell you that this 30+ year veteran will join my team at Arista starting in March as the East Coast Regional. An official announcement will come at that time.”

Paddy was understandably excited when he teased his big move in a Saturday Facebook post that read, in part, “On March 4, 2019 I will begin my next ( and hopefully my final chapter ) in this amazing business. I will have the opportunity to work with my mentor, amazing person and great friend, John Boulos. This will be the third different decade working with John — in the ’80s at PolyGram (when he had hair); in the ’90s at Virgin (when he was losing his hair), and now in the 2000s at Arista (when he has no hair). I love him so much!”
