Quartz Hill Adds Vaughn & Ranieri
• Quartz Hill Records has bolstered its promotion staff with the addition of label vet Ray Vaughn, who joins as Director of Promotion, and former KSON/San Diego APD/MD/night jock Greg Raneiri, who is named Manager of Promotion.
A 31-year promo pro, Vaughn (left) spent the past decade with Warner Music Nashville’s WAR promotion team, most recently as Southwest Manager of Radio & Streaming until his departure in February. Vaughn’s lengthy promotion career also includes seven years (over two tours of duty) with Columbia Records, along with stops at Universal Republic, RCA, J Records/Arista, Lava and Mercury/PolyGram. Raneiri (right) spent six years with KSON until September, when he exited during the company’s widespread Country and Alternative restructuring. He previously worked at WXTU and the former WRDW/Philadelphia, WJDQ/Meridian, MS and KTMT/Medford, OR.
Both gentlemen report directly to Quartz Hill Records VP of Promotion & Marketing April Rider, who said, “There is so much excitement over Ray joining our team and bringing his extensive knowledge, experience and passion to the label. Equally so, we are thrilled and very lucky to have Greg making his promotion debut from radio and bringing an unparalleled passion and love for our format back to his roots at radio. This rounds out our team perfectly. I could not be prouder to introduce such am amazing group of people as our Quartz Hill promotion team.”
And talk about perfect timing — Vaughn and Raneiri arrive just as Quartz Hill’s first single release, “You Ain’t Pretty” by flagship artist Nate Barnes is available now across all digital retailers and streaming services. Vaughn can now be contacted at Ray@quartzhillrecords.com; reach Raneiri at Greg@quartzhillrecords.com.
