Rihanna To Perform On Oscars
• Fresh off of her Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance, newly minted Oscar nominee Rihanna will perform the Academy Award-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at next month’s 95th Academy Awards ceremony. According to Variety, the announcement was made Thursday by Executive Producers/showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner.
“Lift Me Up,” with music by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Goransson and lyric by Tems & Ryan Coogler, is nominated for Original Song, and is Rihanna’s first Oscar nomination.
Hosted once again by Jimmy Kimmel, The 95th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide. [Rihanna photo from Twitter]
