Sinclair Upped To EVP/GM Of Atlantic Records
• Paul Sinclair has been promoted to General Manager & Executive Vice President of Atlantic Records, based at the company’s New York headquarters. In his new post, Sinclair will focus on strategies to keep Atlantic at the forefront of modern culture, bringing his extensive marketing and creative experience to a wide scope of company initiatives. Sinclair joined Atlantic in 2006 and most recently served as the label’s EVP of Digital Strategy & Innovation.
The announcement was made by Atlantic Chairman & COO Julie Greenwald and Chairman & CEO Craig Kallman. In a joint statement, Greenwald and Kallman said, “Paul came on board just as we were transforming Atlantic into a company where digital innovation is at the heart of our artist development strategy. He’s brilliant at translating our artists’ personal creative visions into the digital universe, and a passionate advocate for constantly reinventing what we’re doing to best serve the music. Paul is an invaluable, dedicated member of our senior executive team, and we’re thrilled to give him this wider platform to help take us into the future.”
Sinclair came to Atlantic with a deep and diverse background in various industries, from leading project management at a web development startup to holding various roles at a software company working for the U.S. Department of Defense. Sinclair joined Warner Music Group (WMG) in 2001 as Director, Digital Properties. He segued to Atlantic Records in 2006, spearheading the company’s commitment to emerging technologies and digital innovation.
