VP Upgrade For SMN’s Nicole Marinake
• Sony Music Nashville has promoted Nicole Marinake to Vice President, Partnership Marketing and New Ventures. In this elevated role, Marinake, who was previously Sr. Director, Partnership Marketing will work closely with SMN’s regional Promotion and Artist Development team to expand both the label and its artist footprint in the branding space specifically on a regional level while also identifying and pursuing business opportunities in the areas of new technology, innovation, gaming and web3.
Marinake reports to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Jennifer Way, who commented, “Nicole’s passion and dedication for our artists is her superpower. Her expertise, innovative mindset and winning personality are key reasons Sony Music Nashville has developed invaluable relationships with key partners and subsequently brought to life smart and compelling collaborations, perfectly suited for our artists and their music. I’m thrilled to elevate her in this new role and have no doubt that her strategic vision and exceptional knowledge in this space will help to continue to shape the company’s culture and find new audiences for our artists.”
Since 2017, Marinake held the role of Senior Director, Partnership Marketing where she has collaborated on activations that align artists across SMN’s roster with brands that help authentically tell their story to amplify marketing efforts and engage fans. Marinake will continue to oversee all national brand partnership efforts as well as continue to build the Sony Music Nashville Live brand which launched in 2018 for a SXSW activation with Budweiser.
