Warner Records Pros On The Loose
• As a result of Warner Records’ announced “revitalization,” RAMP has learned of several notable Warner Music departures, including Chicago-based Promo Manager Dave Derkowski, a 33-year Warner veteran. “I started as an intern, and then landed the spectacular job as receptionist of the Warner Elektra Atlantic branch in Washington, DC. Derkowski said, “I can still hear my mom asking me, ‘You’re doing WHAT with your college degree?!?'”
Derkowski (left) got his first shot at promotion in Charlotte, caught the bug, and moved to Chicago in 2000, where he has been based ever since.
Derkowski remarked, “I’m forever grateful for the many opportunities that Warner Music has given me. I thank ALL of my mentors and role models over these past three decades.
