Wicks & Bones @ Nashville Podcast Network
• Country artist-turned radio personality Chuck Wicks, who most recently co-hosted the now defunct Ty, Kelly & Chuck morning show, has inked a deal with Bobby Bones‘ Nashville Podcast Network to host a new iHeartRadio Original Podcast, Talk to Chuck. Executive-produced by Bones, Talk to Chuck debuted Thursday, October 29 with new episodes publishing on Mondays and Thursdays on iHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are heard.
“Chuck has been a good friend of mine for a couple years and someone I admire in a lot of ways, especially for his determination and storytelling,” said Bones, who doubles as VP/Creative Director of iHeartCountry. “He has such an interesting perspective that I know our listeners and beyond will be drawn to. I’m pumped to welcome him to the Nashville Podcast Network!”
Wicks said, “As I’ve gotten to know Bobby over the last couple of years, I’ve been able to witness his work ethic and passion in everything he does. Whether it’s radio, TV, touring or writing a book, Bobby gets it and goes for it. After many conversations with him and expressing that I have those exact same passions, we ended up becoming friends and wanted to find a way to work together. I’ll never forget him telling me, ‘Chuck, you’re not a #2 or #3 guy… you’re the guy and you deserve your own show.’ Well, here we are with Talk to Chuck.”
Wicks first burst onto the Country music scene in 2007 when his debut single “Stealing Cinderella” earned him the highest debut for a new Country artist that year. Wicks is currently in the studio working on new music. He released his new Verge Records’ single, “Solid Gold” on October 23, 2020, his first song in nearly two years.
