101FIVE/Atlanta Treats 477 Vets To Free Concert
Thanks to a successful week-long promotion that ran through Labor Day Weekend, New Country 101FIVE listeners bought 217 tickets to the show. Cumulus Atlanta, New Country 101FIVE and partners Auto Gallery, Ingles Supermarkets and Stillhouse Whiskey, matched that number and donated 217 additional tickets at the same price levels (totaling over $10,000 in value) to non-profit Vet Tix. Cumulus and New Country 101FIVE then donated an additional 260 tickets to meet the demand for tickets from Vet Tix, which will distribute the tickets to 477 local service men and women, veterans of all branches of the U.S. military, and military families.
Sean Shannon, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Atlanta, said, “Atlanta is home to more than a quarter of a million vets and millions more of their family and friends. By allowing our fans to make a difference while they purchased a 101FIVEFest ticket is really the core of why we’re making this night of great Country music happen.” Mike Moore, PD of New Country 101FIVE, noted, “One thing we can all agree on is the feeling of gratitude for our military members and their families. We are thrilled to step up with our listeners to make this a tremendous night for Country music in Georgia.”
