103.3 The Place To Be In Tennessee
• We had a feeling this move was coming… Cumulus Country WKDF/Nashville has formally dropped its NASH FM 103.3 identity and has rebranded simply as 103.3 Country, widening its target beyond Nashville proper and is now sporting a swell new logo featuring the entire state of Tennessee.
“This is just one step in the evolution of our brand,” says PD Paul Williams, who also serves as Director of Programming for Westwood One Nashville. “We are ready to spread the word from Dickson to Gallatin to Mount Juliet and all the Tennessee towns we love, that this is 103-3 Country.” VP/Market Manager Allison Warren commented, “If the listeners call it 103-3 then that’s what we’re going to call it. Our station is all about our community and the people of Tennessee, so now our logo reflects that.”
The weekday on-air lineup for 103.3 Country kicks off with Westwood One’s newly launched Morning Koffy with Paul Koffy and Jasmine Sadry from 5-10am, followed by Tyler Reese in middays, Kelley Brock from 3-7pm; Nights With Elaina with Elaina Smith from 7-midnight and The Blair Garner Show from midnight-5am (repeat).
While Classic Country clustermate WSM-FM is still using the 95.5 NASH Icon branding, WKDF becomes the latest Cumulus Country outlet to drop the once companywide “NASH” branding, following similar moves by WDRQ (New Country 93.1)/Detroit, WNNF (94.1 Cat Country)/Cincinnati, WFYR (97.3 River Country)/Peoria, IL, WXBM (Your Country Station)/Pensacola, FL, KAYD (Texas Country)/Beaumont, TX, and the most recent convert, KATC/Colorado Springs, CO, which last month morphed into Cat Country 95.1.
