Audacy & Lepidi Renew Vows
• Audacy announced a multiyear contract extension with radio and multi-media personality Julia Lepidi, who hosts The Julia Show on 12 Audacy brands nationwide, including B96/Chicago, WDZH (ALT 98.7)/Detroit and 98.5 KLUC/Las Vegas, to name, well, three.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Julia Lepidi,” said Dave Richards, Audacy Senior Vice President of Programming. “Julia’s growth from promotions to a national on-air host embodies the radio industry. Her energy and ability to connect with fans and artists have made her an invaluable asset for the Audacy brand, and we look forward to her entertaining and connecting with her listeners across the country for the foreseeable future.”
Lepidi began her radio career in Detroit in 2015 auspiciously enough by accidentally punching a member of MKTO in the face and injuring him for the duration of his tour during her first week at the station. It’s been a dream ever since then. Outside of radio, she enjoys muting her television and creating dialect between the people on TV that is inappropriate, and, lately, pokè bowls. Her hidden talents include being a contortionist, and she is known to pop her shoulders out of their sockets at the bar to make men uncomfortable and go away [Spoiler alert: it works].
“I started at Audacy as a 20-year-old promo kid,” said Lepidi. “I’ve always been so incredibly grateful for their belief in me, and I’m so happy to continue growing The Julia Show brand in multiple formats surrounded by a great team. Thank you to David Field, Susan Larkin, Dave Richards, Jeff Sottolano, Brian Kelly and Christine Malovetz for their continued support. And, of course, my agent Paul Anderson and Workhouse Media for making this possible.” Connect with Julia on Instagram @theradiohag.
