• The digital and events teams at iHeartRadio are thrilled beyond measure to learn that iHeartRadio is a repeat winner at the 9th Annual Shorty Awards, which honor the most influential, popular, and culturally relevant brands and influencers across social media. For the second year in a row, iHeartRadio won the Shorty Award for “Best In Live Events” for the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival as well as the category’s fan-voted “Audience Honor” for the festival. All winners will be celebrated at the star-studded Shorty Awards ceremony on April 23 in New York City.
• Congrats to Mike Lindsley, afternoon host on Cumulus Sports-Talk WSKO-AM (The Score 1260)/Syracuse, NY, who was among the recent honorees by the New York State Broadcasters Association. Lindsley, host of In The Cell With ML weekdays from 3-6pm took home the Excellence In Broadcasting Award (Medium Market) for “Best Sportscast.” Tom Mitchell, Operations Manager of Cumulus Media Syracuse commented, “In addition to being The Score 1260’s brand ambassador, Mike truly has his finger on the pulse of the Central New York sports fan. • Gen Media Partners (GMP) swept the National Radio Sales categories in the “Awards of Excellence” from the Alliance of Women in Media’s Dallas-Ft. Worth Chapter (AWM DFW), during the 34th annual Gala last Thursday.
