Church Finally Gets To Represent The ‘D’

• Beasley Media Group has tapped Clay Church as the new Program Director of Rhythmic AC WMGC (105.1 The Bounce) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss-FM)/Detroit.

The new gig is a sizeable jump up in market size for Church, who was most recently Operations Manager of Alpha Media’s stations in Dayton & Canton, OH, and Brand Manager for Rhythmic sibling KINK-HD2/Portland, OR. Prior to that, he was Director of Content for Townsquare Media in Flint, MI.

“It’s such a pleasure to welcome Clay Church to the Beasley stable of programmers,” said Justin Chase, Beasley Chief Content Officer. “With Clay’s proven success in the Urban and Rhythmic formats, his forward-thinking approach with digital content distribution, and his knowledge of the Michigan area, I’m confident that we found the perfect fit for these important Detroit brands.”

“I’m excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with Beasley in the greatest city in the world, Detroit,” said Church. “It’s always been a goal to represent the ‘D,’ and I can’t wait to help continue the growth and success of Bounce and Kiss!”

WMGC and WDMK were previously helmed by former Beasley VP of National Content and Detroit Director Of Programming Scott Jameson, who accepted a voluntary retirement package in May.
