Dogs Win At #LOVEPUP Family Fest
• Throughout the year, Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra, hosts of the Premiere-syndicated Johnjay & Rich Show, give back through their #LOVEUP charity, which focuses on children living in foster care, and via The #LOVEPUP Foundation, the pet project of Johnjay and Blake Van Es, which re-homes dogs at no cost to the adoptive family. It was in that spirit that the guys held their annual #LOVEPUP Family Fest this past weekend featuring a day full of music, food and puppies at Vertuccio Farms.
Attended by an estimated 7-10,000 listeners, #LOVEPUP Family Fest welcomed dog rescues from all over the state of Arizona, who found forever homes for nearly all their adoptable pets. The special event also featured musical performances by Shinedown, Country star Austin Burke, and the world famous Rich Berra Band. That’s Eric Bass and Brent Smith from Shinedown on stage in front of thousands of fans.
The brainchild of Johnjay Van Es, #LOVEPUP Family Fest brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars in non-spot revenue to participating radio stations, and has now expanded to other markets, including Dallas, Colorado, Georgia and Portland with great success.
