Eggs-actly The Perfect Promotion
• With the price of eggs reaching the levels of precious jewelry, someone had to step up to head off this madness — and that would be the enterprising Ms. Alabama, host of The Alabama Show, heard on iHeartMedia’s WQEN (103.7 The Q)/Birmingham, WZBQ/Tuscaloosa, 106.5 Kiss FM (WQRV-HD2)/Huntsville, and WEGR (102.7 Kiss FM)/Memphis.
Opting to skip the usual overpriced grocery stores, Alabama wisely decided to bypass that expensive supply chain and create her own at the source — in a stroke of genius, Alabama is giving away baby chicks, which will eventually grow up enough to provide…wait for it… free eggs!
RAMP had a lovely chat chatted with Alabama (pictured with a friend), who explained, “The timing of this promotion is perfect, because it’s that time of year when baby chicks are available at the local co-ops — AND the price of eggs is so high. I’ve had chickens for for three years now. It’s been nice not having to buy eggs, and I wanted to share that joy with the listeners. Plus, I think we are seeing a resurgence of younger people who want to homestead and have their own hobby farms, so this promotion has gone over well with our listeners!
