Fenech Navigates Home To Cars 108

• Townsquare’s heritage AC WCRZ (Cars 108)/Flint, MI will launch a new morning show on Feb. 10 — The Cars Morning Drive with Jeremy Fenech, anchored by a very familiar name — Flint native Jeremy Fenech, a 30-year radio pro who began his professional broadcasting career doing weekend overnights on Cars 108 at the age of 15.

Fenech’s career has also included stops in Detroit, Evansville, IN, and several other Flint stations, including Cumulus Top 40 WWCK, and, more recently, a nine-year run across the street at Krol Communications’ Classic Rock WRSR (103.9 The Fox) as PD/afternoon talent, where his work earned Fenech My City Magazine‘s 2024 City’s Choice Award for “Favorite Local On-Air DJ.”

“I’m thrilled to finally be coming home,” Fenech said. “Cars 108 is where I began my radio career, and I can’t wait to once again work with the station’s incredible staff and some of my lifelong friends. I’ve always loved making the listeners the stars of the show and really look forward to getting to know the Cars 108 audience. Hosting the Cars Morning Drive is a dream come true.”

Kristine Sikkema, Market President/GM of Townsquare Media Flint, commented, “We are so excited to enter this new chapter with Jeremy Fenech at the helm of our flagship radio station’s morning show. Jeremy brings so much fun to everything he does and has incredible passion for the people of Flint.”

Concurrent with Fenech’s arrival, Cars 108 Brand Manager George McIntyre, who has been temporarily handling morning show duties, will mercifully stop setting his alarm for 4am and returns to middays.
