Cumulus Media NewsRadio KKOB/Albuquerque, NM recently sponsored a hot air balloon — a savvy marketing move, as it turns out, considering how many humans were in attendance at the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

The Fiesta was actually started by KKOB in 1972 to celebrate the station’s 50th anniversary. Fast-forward to 2017, and the Fiesta just celebrated its 46th year and has now become largest ballooning event in the world, attracting over one million people to Albuquerque each year!
