Folks Flee Ghosts; Russell Rushes Them

• Back in July we first told you that Russell Rush, PD of iHeartMedia Top 40 KXXM (96.1 NOW)/San Antonio had been diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of cancer called T-Cell Lymphoma. While Rush was briefly in remission, the battle continues, and he and his doctors are still working toward a positive outcome. “I chose to chronicle my journey through the show as another way to show people you can fight and win,” he tells RAMP.

Despite his health challenges over the past few months, Rush wanted to share the good news that he just wrapped up the 12th season of his incredibly popular ghost-hunting show, The Russell Rush Haunted Tour, an Emmy award-winning paranormal show that delves into the history and hauntings of San Antonio and the South Texas area.

As Rush (pictured here, right with his trusty videographer Mike Beltran) explains, “For 12 years we’ve spent the night in crazy places like old museums, decommissioned Navy ships, and this season — SeaWorld, where for years employees have reported hauntings! We were also invited out to ‘The Immortal 32 House,’ a log cabin near Seguin, TX that was the hideout for Alamo defenders before they went into the Alamo [Ed. note: and you know how that ended up], and the new owner says she feels like they’re still there. The result, two new episodes that for me are a personal win,” Rush said. “Not only were we able to make it through Haunted Tour this year, but it’s one of the best ever.”

When you get a few minutes, we strongly urge you to check out the amazing SeaWorld San Antonio story and The Immortal 32 House story, and subscribe to the companion Russell Rush Haunted Tour YouTube channel.  Your continued wishes of love and support can be sent to Russell at Rush@961now.com.
