Foxwoods Bets On A Sure Thing

• Vanessa Wojtusiak, former longtime VP of Marketing for iHeartMedia Connecticut, who was budgetarily downsized last September, is excited to announce her new career move — overseeing Social Media & Influencer Marketing at Connecticut’s famous Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Wojtusiak remarked, “I’m incredibly excited to utilize my experience building social media — from the early days of getting the iHeartRadio brand running and engaged across all platforms and working with stations and personalities across the country on social media best practices — to then taking that to Nexstar Media Group’s WTNH-TV and creating the playbook for utilizing social media at the oldest TV station in Connecticut and working with the Facebook Journalism Project, to then marketing 11 local heritage radio stations back at iHeart again.

Wojtusiak added, “Radio is the original social media platform, and on-air talent is the original influencer, so it’s great to apply and evolve those skills to this role too. I’m sure I will still cross paths with many radio friends! Social media IS media; building brands and provoking dialogue. I’ll continue to see everyone online!”
