Foxy 106.9 Wakes Up With Darius Bradford

Bradford, a St. Louis native, is a widely recognized seasoned national comedian and acclaimed radio personality. His new co-host is another local media pro — April Simpson, an Emmy Award-winning television journalist, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist, whose career includes a 12-year tenure at KTVI (Fox 2)/St. Louis and as host of Afternoons on Eleven on KPLR 11.

In a statement, Roberts Metro Broadcasting said, “We are dedicated to keeping the spirit of R&B and Throwbacks alive and thriving in our city. The addition of Darius Bradford underscores our commitment to being the premier destination for authentic St. Louis culture. This show isn’t just entertainment — it’s about giving our community a voice that is local, loud, and uniquely St. Louis.”
Bradford said, “I want to thank Don and Roberts Metro Broadcasting for this incredible opportunity. I’m committed to bringing energy, authenticity, and positivity to the mornings in St. Louis. Together, we’re going to make this show a source of inspiration and connection for our community.” Simpson commented, “I’m excited to join Darius on Foxy 106.9. Together, we will bring authentic voices, impactful conversations, and community-driven content to our listeners. This is about more than just radio — it’s about making a difference.”
