Gabbay Named Dir./Marketing For Cumulus NYC
• Kevin Gabbay is now on the job as the new Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Cumulus cluster in New York City, working his magic with Hot AC WPLJ, Country WNSH (NASH-FM 94.7), Urban AC WNBM (Radio 103.9) and legendary News-Talk 77 WABC.
“Radio has always been my passion and I was waiting for an amazing opportunity to arise to return to the industry I love,” Gabbay (pictured) told RAMP. “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the team at Cumulus New York and thank [VP/Market Manager] Chad Lopez and the respective PDs for each station for giving me this amazing opportunity!”
Gabbay got his first radio break as a programming intern for KIIS-FM/Los Angeles. He worked his way up through the KIIS Promotions department and eventually became Promotions Director across the hall at former Hot AC sister KYSR (Star 98.7). From there he made the jump to Las Vegas as Director of Marketing for Riviera Broadcasting’s KOAS and KVGS. In 2010 he returned to Los Angeles as Director of Marketing for Bonneville’s late, great KSWD (100.3 The Sound). Gabbay was most recently was the U.S. Marketing Director for a French software firm that had recently expanded to the States.
