Jonathan Wier Comes Home To WKLB/Boston
• Beasley Media Group excitedly announces that Jonathan Wier is making his triumphant return to the morning show on WKLB (Country 102.5)/Boston, joyfully reuniting with his former co-host Ayla Brown on Country Mornings With Jonathan & Ayla, starting Wednesday, Oct. 18.
Wier originally joined the WKLB morning show as Brown’s co-host in September 2019, before leaving in Oct. 2022 during a round of corporate downsizing.
“Jonathan is a fantastic content creator with a proven track record in Boston,” said Cadillac Jack, Beasley VP of Strategy/Analytics and Director of Boston Programming. “As he rejoins Ayla in mornings, WKLB is well positioned for continued success, now and into the future!” WKLB PD Dawn Santolucito seconds that emotion, commenting, “We are happy to have Jonathan back for mornings on Country 102.5 with Ayla. His talent and dedication will undoubtedly be a driving force in the station’s continued success.”
Wier is a St. Louis native whose unique path to a radio career was ignited after his wife entered him into a radio talk show host search back in 2004. He went on to do nights for four years at Audacy News-Talk KMBZ-FM/Kansas City prior to joining WKLB.
“I am beyond delighted to be rejoining Country 102.5 and working alongside Ayla Brown again,” said Wier. “There are a lot of great Country radio stations, but Country 102.5 run by Dawn Santolucito, Cadillac Jack and Mary Menna is the best in the country. I’m so excited to be waking up Boston again instead of just waking up in Boston.”
