Kira Lew Fills Middays At Mix 104.1/Boston

• It’s a Boston radio homecoming for Kira Lew, who is now on the air in middays at Audacy Hot AC WWBX (Mix 104.1).

As we reported back in July, Lew had resigned as morning co-host after nine years on Townsquare Country WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH and relocated back to Boston as her husband Steven accepted what she described as “an awesome career opportunity.”

Luckily, Lew is already familiar with the layout of Audacy’s Boston HQ, as she noted in an Instagram post, “Nine years ago I sat at the front desk as the ‘Director of First Impressions’ in this very building. Every day I watched some of the greatest radio personalities walk through these doors, headphones in hand, ready to entertain and inform the fine people of Boston. This week, I got to be the one behind the mic. It’s hard to articulate what this opportunity means to me. Thank you to Mike Mullaney and Steve Salhany for believing that there is space for my preggo a** at this winning station. I am having the most fun and still can’t believe I get to do this.”

The Mix midday shift was most recently held by Erin O’Malley, who exited in March after 24 years during Audacy’s largescale restructuring.
