Kristin Diaz Named AM Co-Anchor, WTOP/DC
• Hubbard’s WTOP News/Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce Kristin Diaz will join the team as its new morning drive anchor alongside co-anchor John Aaron, beginning in April.
Diaz joins WTOP from Audacy’s NewsRadio 1080 KRLD/Dallas, where she has served as PM Drive co-anchor since 2020. An award-winning journalist herself, Diaz was awarded the 2021 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. She was a regional winner in 2023. She was also the recipient of the 2023 Texas Association of Broadcasters award for Best Newscast. Prior to Dallas, Diaz spent eight years in Corpus Christi as a morning news anchor, multimedia reporter and weather anchor at KIII-TV. She is also an active public speaker, event emcee, mentor and member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
