‘Mayhem’ Reimagined As ‘Polk County Live’
• Hall Communications’ WLKF (Talk Radio 96.7)/Lakeland, FL announced that its long-running morning show, Mayhem In The AM has been re-branded as Polk County Live, effective immediately. Polk County Live airs weekdays from 6-9am ET on Talk Radio 96.7 FM, 1430 AM and 98.3 HD4.
The rebranding announcement was made at a fancy luncheon to celebrate Len Erickson‘s 10th anniversary as host, and was attended by current and former cast members of the show.
“Polk County is one of the fastest-growing metros in both Florida and the nation,” said Bob Walker, Hall Communications’ VP of Programming. “As the station of record for Polk County, we want our brand to reflect that commitment. Len’s conversational interview style has made the show a destination for anyone talking about Polk County. Our new show name reflects that.”
Erickson said, “It’s been great sharing local information with our area over the past 10 years and I feel privileged to be able to continue that with Polk County Live. I’d like to thank all of the people who helped along the way.
