Melissa & Kevin Reunited On The River
• Lotus Boise Corp Triple A KRVB (94.9 The River)/Boise, ID announced the debut of their new morning show: River Mornings with Melissa and Kevin. If that pairing sounds familiar, that’s because it is — Kevin Murphy and Melissa Liebenthal famously anchored mornings from 2015-2022 across the hall on KTHI (formerly 107.1 K-HITS — now Classic Country Hank FM).
Melissa and Kevin shared their big news on air Monday morning and the official announcement was made by GM Nick Coe, who said, “Reuniting Melissa and Kevin is a win for Boise radio. Their chemistry is undeniable, and bringing that energy to mornings on The River feels like the right move at the right time.”
“Kevin and I are back together,” Liebenthal said. “It’s like a reunion, but with less drama and more caffeine. Sincerely, he’s the best person I can think of to work with in tight quarters. He knows everything about me and likes me anyway.”
Tim Johnstone, Brand Manager/PD of The River is excited to have River Mornings with Melissa and Kevinlocked down to help celebrate the station’s 25th Anniversary. “Having been a fan of Kevin’s work with Melissa as a morning show duo, I could not be more excited about him joining River Mornings here at the station.
