Oakland New To Middays On KOSI 101.1/Denver

• Changes inside Bonneville Denver, starting with the November departure of market veteran Jim Lawson as PD of AC KOSI 101.1. We understand he will announce his new venture shortly. Lawson’s PD duties have been absorbed by Director of Operations Brian Michel, who retains his current PD stripes at Country sibling KYGO.

It was also announced that KOSI 101.1 welcomes Tammy Oakland as its new midday host. The shift was most recently held by Melissa Moore, now morning co-host over on KSE Media Classic Hits KXKL (Kool 105).

The new gig is a move up in market size for Oakland, who has spent most of her career in the Colorado Springs market, most recently as APD/midday talent at iHeartMedia AC KKLI (Sunny 106.3). Earlier on-air stops include KKPK (92.9 The Peak) and KKCS, and she began her career at KATM (100.7 The Kat).

“I am so thrilled to be on air in Denver,” Oakland exclaimed. “I have been fortunate enough to spend my entire radio career in Colorado, and it’s an honor to join the legendary team of KOSI.”

KOSI PD Brian Michel said, “Adding talent like Tammy to the already extraordinary team on KOSI will ensure that the brand keeps its spot as Denver’s most-listened-to radio station!”
