Old Dominion Braces For Impact
CBS Radio’s 12 Country have banded together to offer listeners an exciting opportunity to hear directly from Old Dominion about their highly anticipated RCA Nashville sophomore album, Happy Endings, which drops today. The 30-minute Impact special debuted last night on KMPS/Seattle, hosted by PD Kenny Jay, who sat down with the band to talk about the inspiration for the album and little-known facts behind several songs. Impact is a CBS Radio program that supports the launch of new albums. “Old Dominion has proven already to be a major force in Country music and CBS Radio is proud to be part of their much anticipated Happy Endings album release which will be a huge event for the Country radio format,” commented Tim Roberts, who doubles as VP of Country Programming, CBS Radio and VP of Programming, CBS Radio Detroit.
The Impact special will air commercial-free and is customized for each local market, offering the band’s take on what they love about that city and where they like to play, as well as future concert dates in applicable markets.
The special will run on WXTU/Philadelphia tomorrow, August 26 at 10am; WKIS/Miami, KMNB/Minneapolis and KILT/Houston on Sunday, August 27 at 7am; it will also re-air on KMPS/Seattle Sunday at 6:30pm; WYCD/Detroit, WUSN/Chicago and KMLE/Houston will air the show on Monday, August 27 at 6pm; KFRG-KXFG/Riverside gets it on Monday, August 27 at 6:30pm; KNCI/Sacramento: August 27 at 7:30pm and WDSY/Pittsburgh: August 27 at 8pm.
