Portland Pleasure Cruise For Soooz
Yesterday we set the table and cleverly teased this news… today, thanks to the miracle of a fully authorized press release, it’s all legal and stuff — Susan Reynolds has indeed been named as the new Marketing/Promotions Director for iHeartMedia’s nine-brand group in her beloved Portland, OR — AC KKCW (K103), Top 40 KKRZ (Z100), Classic Hits KLTH (106.7 The Eagle), Rhythmic KXJM (Jam’n 107.5), Classic Rock KFBW (105.9 The Brew), Alternative Radio 102.3 (KKRZ HD2), Classic Country 103.7 The Legend (KFBW HD3), News-Talk 1190 KEX and Sports-Talk KPOJ (Rip City Radio 620).
The move is literally a radio homecoming for Ms. Sooooz (left), who back in the day was Marketing & Promotions Director for KKCW under previous owner Trumper. In the early ’90s she served in a similar position for KSFO/KYA and KSOL/San Francisco. From 1996-2009 she was Marketing Director for CBS Radio’s Portland group, and she stayed on until 2011 under new owner Alpha Media. More recently Reynolds had produced The Tommy Schnurmacher Show on Bell Media’s CJAD-AM/Montreal, followed by a move to NYC where she free-lanced in PR before relocating back to Portland last month.
“We could not be more excited to welcome Susan Reynolds to our team in Portland,” said Tim Herbster, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Pacific Northwest Region. “Her vast experience as a leader and relationship builder will help further serve our brands, clients and local community.” Reynolds remarked, “This is truly a full-circle moment for me as I not only am thrilled to be back in the awesome city of Portland, but also to serve K103 Portland, where I got my first shot at being a Marketing and Promotion Director. The fact that I’m joining the iHeartMedia team and this market of iconic brands is absolutely the icing on the cake and I am grateful for this incredible opportunity.” Reynolds can be congratulated at 503-323-6612 and susanreynolds@iheartmedia.com.
