• Nia Marciante is headed to our Nation’s Capital to begin her new adventure as Promotions Director for iHeartMedia AC WASH-FM and Country WMZQ/Washington. It’s a big step up for Marciante, who earns the transfer from iHeartMedia Philadelphia, where she started her career in 2013 and currently serves as Promotions Assistant.
She will report to Kim Sauer, Marketing Director for iHeartMedia’s Washington, D.C. Region, who commented, “Nia is the final piece to an incredibly strong Promotions team here in the Washington, D.C. Region. I know Nia is the right choice to raise the bar for the WASH and WMZQ brands in the market.”
Marciante said, “I’ve loved working at iHeartMedia since I started as in intern in 2013. I’m excited to bring my experience from the Philadelphia market to the great team in D.C. and continue growing within the iHeartMedia family!”
• Looks like Chase Martinez is about to get a whole lot busier — in addition to his regular day job doing afternoon drive on Marker Broadcasting Rhythmic AC KMRJ (Jammin’ 99.5)/Palm Springs, CA, Martinez has now been awarded Promotions Director stripes valid for the five-station group that also includes Classic Rock KRHQ (Q102.3), Soft AC KJJZ (Kool 95.9), Country KPLM (The Big 106) and Alternative ALT 101.5 (KJJZ HD-2).
As Martinez clarifies, “Kory James will still be handling most of the promotions for KPLM Country and I will still be doing my afternoon shift on Jammin’ 99.5.
