RAD Radio Exits Sacto Again

• The Rob, Anybody & Dawn Show, a.k.a. RAD Radio has departed from its Sacramento affiliate, Lotus Communications’ KSAC-AM 890/104.7 (Fox Sports Sacramento) after 16 months.

A message from host Rob Williams on the show’s RADRadio.com reads: “RAD RADIO has mutually agreed to part ways with 104.7 FM/890 AM in the Sacramento area. We thank and appreciate them for their support. We are live across our other platforms for a new RAD show this morning.”

The show, currently hosted by Williams, co-host Dawn Rossi, and castmates Brandon Angel and Kyle Halldorson enjoyed a successful Sacramento run on Audacy’s KRXQ (98 Rock) from 1999 until exiting in June 2023. Shortly thereafter, Williams’ company, Williams Broadcasting Incorporated forged a partnership with Lotus to return the show to the market in Nov. 2023 on KSAC-AM and 104.7 (K284CM), rebranding the entire station as RAD Radio, running the show live in morning drive, with replays in afternoon drive and overnights, interspersed with “Best Of” segments the rest of the day. Last September, Lotus flipped the station to Fox Sports, but retained the show in morning drive.

Rob, Anybody & Dawn continues to air on its original flagship, Lotus Active Rock KDOT (Rock 104.5)/Reno as it has since 1996, and stream on RADRadio.com.

RAMP reached out to Williams, who told us, “I have had a 30-year ongoing relationship with Lotus Communications… they are the classiest operators in radio and I continue to value and respect them. I look forward to continue working with them in Reno and whatever the future may hold for our next adventure together.”
