• Talk about your rapid recovery — less than a week after he exited afternoon drive at Duvall Media Group’s 1340 WROD-AM 1340/104.5/Daytona Beach, FL — which flipped from Rock to Conservative Talk on Memorial Day — John “Wilson In The Morning” has touched down in morning drive at Gorilla Broadcasting’s WCEH-AM 610/W241CO (96.1 The Rooster)/Hawkinsville-Warner Robins-Macon, GA, which features a unique hybrid blend of Classic Hits, Classic Rock, Country and Oldies. No, seriously.

The move marks a return to the Macon market for Wilson, a.k.a. “The Bone Crusher,” who earlier worked at WYNF (96.5 The Buzz) and WQBZ (Q106). He also has time served (as “Fister“) at WYYX (97X)/Panama City, WVRX (95.7 The X)/Knoxville, & WBZY (96.7 The Buzz) & WKLS (Project 96.1)/Atlanta. Back in the day Wilson also worked in New Orleans doing weekends at KKND (106.7 The End) and weekdays at WNOE for PD Les Acree.

Wilson describes the content of his show as “Hot talk, chronic bits, epic rants, lean-in banter, storytelling, pranks, parodies and hyper-localism in a music variety format.” As Wilson explains to RAMP, “Management has given me the green light to talk about anything I want.
