Seattle’s Bull Launches ‘Tanner & Friends’

• Following the recent departure of The Fitz Show from Hubbard Radio’s KPNW (98.9 The Bull)/Seattle, the station announced it is “ushering in a new era of mornings” with the launch of the live and local Tanner & Friends, weekdays from 5-10am PT, starting Monday, Jan. 5. The show is hosted by Pacific Northwest native Tanner Chambers (left), a native of Puyallup, WA, who returns to the region after two and half years in morning drive at Townsquare Country KUAD (K99)/Ft. Collins, CO.

“Tanner coming home feels right,” said Nick Beyer, VP/Market Manager of Hubbard Radio Seattle. “He represents the next generation of Seattle morning radio — authentic, local, and built around real connection. That’s exactly the direction we want to be heading.”

“This show represents exactly what we want mornings on The Bull to feel like,” said Scott Mahalick, OM/Brand Content Director of The Bull. “Tanner brings heart, relatability, and a genuine love for this region. He sounds like The PNW because he was born here, raised here, and now works here.”

“Radio should feel like a conversation you want to jump into,” said Chambers, whose prior experience also includes four and a half years with Amaturo Sonoma Media Group in Santa Rosa, CA doing mornings on Country KFGY (Froggy 92.9) and afternoons at Top 40 KHTH (Hot 101.7), and a stint on-air/Digital Producer for The Fitz Show at KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle back in the day. He added, “I want people to feel like they’re riding along with friends every morning, laughing, sharing stories, and starting the day together.”
