South Florida Welcomes 3-Day Riptide
• Entercom Radio South Florida, home of Alternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark), Rhythmic WPOW (Power 96), Classic Hits WMXJ (102.7 The Beach), AC WLYF (101.5 Lite FM) and Sports-Talk duo WAXY (790 The Ticket) and 560 WQAM — announced the line-up for its 3rd Annual Riptide Music Festival, powered by Ford. Billed as “The World’s Biggest Beach Party” — and newly expanded to a three-day event — Riptide will feature over 30 bands, including the following (with more TBA soon):
> Friday, November 30:The Jacksons, Sheila E., Lisa Lisa, Baha Men and The Sugar Hill Gang.
> Saturday, December 1: Panic! at the Disco, Sublime with Rome, Dirty Heads, Young the Giant, Cold War Kids, Blue October, Bishop Briggs, Sir Sly, Alice Merton, Bob Moses, The Driver Era, Dreamers, lovelytheband and Superorganism.
> Sunday, December 2: 311, Live, Matt and Kim, Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul, Sugar Ray, Everclear, Crystal Method, Just Loud and Silent Rivals.
Riptide Music Festival, powered by Ford, launched in 2016, is centrally located on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Last December’s Festival drew 37,000 festivalgoers from all over the country. “We are so very proud to see the Riptide Music Festival, powered by Ford evolve into a 3-day event on the world’s most beautiful beach in Fort Lauderdale,” said the multitasking Von Freeman, Entercom South Florida Marketing Director and Executive Producer of Riptide. “From reuniting Tito,Marlon, Jermaine and Randy— The Jackson Brothers — on the Riptide stage on Friday, November 30, to our two-day Alternative festival, December 1 & 2, highlighted by superstar bands Panic! at the Disco, Sublime with Rome, lovelytheband, Third Eye Blind and Live, this is, without a doubt, our strongest lineup ever!”
