The Wolf Wakes Up With Jenny & Jagger… & Gapske
Jenny Matthews has been a Kansas City radio mainstay since 2004, most recently hosting mornings across the street on Steel City Country rival KBEQ (Q104) until Feb. of this year. Matthews spent the first 16 years in KC with Top 40 KMXV (Mix 93.3), before transitioning to KBEQ in late October 2019.
Matt Gapske is a KC native who currently serves as the Executive Producer and APD for Audacy Kansas City. He got his start at 99.7 The Point and was part of the original team back in 2011. he later programmed Clear Channel Top 40 WMRV (Star 105-7)/Binghamton, NY and was APD/middays at iHeartMedia Country WMAD/Madison before returning home to Kansas City.
The rest of The Wolf’s reimagined lineup looks mostly the same: the Audacy-distributed Katie & Company with Katie Neal will continue to be heard in middays, followed in afternoon drive by Scotty Kay, based at WUSN (US99)/Chicago and also carried on KMNB (102.9 The Wolf)/Minneapolis and WLKK (107.7 & 104.7 The Wolf)/Buffalo. Audacy’s Rob and Holly remain in the 7-midnight spot.
“It’s a new era at 106.5 The Wolf,” said Roxanne Marati, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Kansas City. “We are so thrilled to have Jenny, Jagger and Matt kick-start the mornings for Kansas Citians. This new lineup promises to deliver a full day of must-listen programming for our fans.”
