Tommy + Kelly = Real.Fun.DC.
• Veteran DC air personalities Kelly Collis and Tommy McFLY just launched Real.Fun.DC., described as “an inclusive and diverse independent broadcast channel” and an evolution of The Tommy Show, which was previously heard on the late WRQX (Mix 107.3) and Entercom AC WIAD (94-7 Fresh FM)/Washington. Since 2018 the duo has hosted their content online, and this expanded 24/7 digital platform “allows Collis and McFLY to venture beyond radio’s typical content delivery package.”
The new platform launched Oct. 2 with six marquee shows, including, naturally, The Tommy + Kelly Show, as well as Industry Night, featuring hospitality expert Nycci Nellis; Yes Another Podcast — Carlos Rice and friends explore hip hop culture, social issues, entertainment, and the news of the day; Neeks at Night — DJ Neekola streams the best music mix of pop, dance, electronic, and downtempo, and conversation with the DJs and producers who set the nightlife vibe in DC and around the world; Real. Fun. Sports. with Courtney Laughlin; Unplugged Alarm Clock — collection of acoustic and live cuts. We are told that several other new shows will soon be announced, and they have put out an open call to creators for additional content.
