Warriors’ Game Plan: Romp To Victory
With the NBA Finals now underway between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third straight year — and with the Warriors up 2-0 headed into tonight’s pivotal Game 3 — you know that the annual morning show wager between the two hometown stations — Entercom Urban AC KBLX/San Francisco & Radio One Urban AC WZAK/Cleveland would also continue for a third year.
Here’s the deal — if the Warriors end up losing the series, the KBLX Morning Dream Team — Kimmie Tee, Tony Sco and Tony Roberts — have agreed to don some fashionably questionable rompers and walk the streets of San Francisco and Oakland holding signs to profess their love for the Cavs and LeBron James while being filmed live on Facebook. If the Cavs lose, WZAK’s Sam Sylk has agreed to don a romper and stroll around downtown Cleveland holding signs to process his love for the Warriors and Stephen Curry while being filmed live on Facebook.
RAMP caught up with KBLX OM/PD Elroy Smith (pictured here with Cavs Coach Tyronn Lue), who told us, “Our personalities are all pump and fired up for a victory! The energy here in the Bay Area is at an all-time high that we will be the NBA champions this Friday. We are getting anxious for the victory parade in Oakland next week. With this type of confidence, WZAK should be ordering Sam Sylk’s romper NOW! The Cavaliers coach, Tyronn Lue and I love the same Bay Area restaurant, Houston/Hillstone, but we love different basketball teams. Who in this picture would look better in a romper?”
