Worden To Be Honored By MUSEXPO
• MUSEXPO announced that its Creative Summit is returning to Burbank, CA in 2020, joining a weeklong series of events — the Global Synch Summit, International Songwriting Summit and Worldwide Radio Summit, all happening as part of California Entertainment Week, March 22-27, 2020.
MUSEXPO also revealed it will present its coveted “MUSEXPO International Music Person of the Year” award to Lisa Worden, iHeartMedia’s Alternative Rock Brand Manager and Program Director of KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles as she celebrates 25 years in radio. The VIP Awards Gala Luncheon is happening on Tuesday, March 24, and will bring together MUSEXPO executives and attendees from around the world, as well as Lisa’s colleagues and friends from across the industry, to recognize her significant achievements. Lisa will also receive proclamations and recognition from the Mayor, various city officials and representatives of the State of California.
Prior to joining iHeartMedia in Nov. 2017, Worden spent over 12 years as Assistant Program Director and Music Director for “The World Famous” KROQ/Los Angeles. She joined KROQ as Music Director in 1995. In 2003, Worden was named PD of sister WHFS/Washington, DC, a post she held for two years before returning to KROQ in August 2005. Worden’s career began in 1990 at SBK Records as an assistant in the Radio Promotions department, later transitioning into the college and specialty promotion team. In 1993 she joined RCA Records as the West Coast Director for its Alternative Rock Promotion team.
