• After weeks of moving stations around the local dial, iHeartMedia Atlanta has put that final puzzle piece in place with the announcement that Spanish Contemporary WBZY (Z105.7), “#1 Para Hits de Hoy,” will now also broadcast on 96.7 FM, reaching thousands of new listeners in the area.
All that action began last month when WBZY — (then Z105.3) — moved up to 105.7, replacing Alternative WRDA (ALT 105.7). Shortly thereafter, Urban sibling WDRG (96.7 The Beat) moved up to the vacant 105.3 spot, becoming 105.3 The Beat and leaving 96.7 ready for double occupancy. You following so far?
Z105.7 (Área Metro) y Z96.7 (Área Sur) will play the hits from top Hispanic artists including Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Karol G, Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony, etc. “The 105.7 FM simulcast on 96.7 FM will create full-market coverage for Spanish Contemporary music and programming,” said Orlando Rosa, Program Director of Z105.7 y Z96.7. “This allows us to serve the Hispanic community in the North and South and the larger signal will also allow more fans to wake up and enjoy Enrique Santos‘ show as well as other fan-favorite programming.”
The weekday on-air lineup for Z105.7 y Z96.7 looks like this — 6-10am: Tú Mañana Con Enrique Santos; 10am-3pm: Orlando Mix; 3-7pm: Luis Treviño; 7-midnight: Jessi Dee.
